Ecranio News

Hello to All you Cranial Students and Therapists, letter 2012

In this letter I am happy to bring another successful year of teaching, learning, questioning, researching and intense practicing, combined with dance, music, great food, a Spa experience and sekt, and sharing stories about life under the Odenwald stars.

I had dedicated my year’s work to Ron Kurtz, who passed in January. He was truly a great friend and teacher to me and countless others. His development of Hakomi BodyPsychology and Loving Prescience are great contributions to our healing field. But his great kindness and generosity with me has changed my life for the better.

2012 is the year of CranioPsych. This new course focuses on the use of dialogue, imagery, understanding character, Loving Presence skills, the Hakomi bodycentered therapy as taught to me by Ron Kurtz. But these classes are not all talk; we will use unwinding skills to deepen healing processes. The CranioPsych 1 & 2 are in the Odenwald and CranioPsych 1 is in Reutilingen. This is a great preparation for the Body meets Mind training with Deepesh.

This year our Hakomi training, Deepesh concluded the first Body meets Mind training and all fourteen members of the course successfully completed the training. This is a training in working with leading edge neuroscience, meditation and eastern psychology, psychotherapy, Hakomi psychotherapy, through teaching and direct experience in bring the body and mind into Harmony. The class size will be limited so contact us early.

Qi Master Dashi is returning.  In May, Dashi Chu, Qi Gong Meisterin and acupuncture physician  will returning to instruct us on the three levels of Zhineng Qi Gong. This is the true Medical Qi Gong practiced in the only medicine free Hospital in the world. Dashi had taught previous Qi gong Courses and will now instruct all levels of the form in Spring and Fall in the Odenwald. Comeback for a refresher or for the first time to our three day trainings. No previous experience is necessary.

Interested in Kinesiology? Can it work with cranial? Davorka Parag is introducing Touch for Health in the Odenwald in spring and fall. She is a gifted teacher and certified cranial practioner. Davorka has a brilliant article published on our web site on Cranial and Parkinson’s disease. Learn to intergrate Cranial and Kinesiology in your office.

Our Visceral classes are just waiting for you. We intergrate visceral and cranial into a  new way of healing. We focus on understanding the organs with Oriental Medicine, andLigamentous attachments in a fun and practical manner.

Dear Friends, letter 2011

As this cranial season comes to an end in Deutschland, I must thank you all for a very information filled and action packed year. I will mention some of the highlights.

I am happy to announce the examination and certification of 8 more therapists. Senad Bihorac, Sabine Gnoth, Silke Holzhäuser, Darota Krüger, Tobias Müller, Davorka Parag, Astrid Schiemann und Roswitha Veit, all did a great job. Two of the certifierd therapists, Davorka Parag und Tobias Müller completed special papers. Tobia´s paper has good insight for developing palpation skills. Davorka´s paper is a model research paper on Parkinson´s and CST´s effect. The paper features a report to the supervising doctor and his response. Both are great done and published on the web site under articles (in German only).

The examination requires completion of Cranio 1&2, 100 patient treatments, written, verbal, technique demonstration, treatment of the tester, and a research paper on a preapproved topic. Examination and certification requirements are subject to change without notification. Email for more information.

This year I started a medical doctor education program to up date my medical knowledge. I am studying with Dr. Bruce Robinson MD and board certified Heart Surgeon, retired. In class Dr. Robinson´s information seems as limitless, but 45 years experience as a doctor, surgeon and Medical Professor is clearly apparent. Maybe, I will get lucky and get Dr. Robinson for a medical intensive class on the muscle skeletal system or neurology. I was scheduled for a class in Cardiology this weekend for 16 hours, the day after arriving back to Florida, I wish the class was on sleep deprivation and snoring research.

Speaking of teaching classes, our teacher training program has taken off. These course goals include refining information in anatomy, physiology, pathology, neurology and related treatment strategies. Second we will work on techniques mastery. Third a refinement of teaching, supervision, observation, communication and speaking skills necessary. The 2011 class will be focused on Fascia and the release of transversal restrictions. This class is open to all with cranial 1 experience, who seek to further their treatment and communication skills.

The Deepesh "Body meets Mind" course has started and offers a unique exploration into interaction between patients and therapist with Hakomi Bodypsychology skills. This class is open for two more participants to join in. We will start a new training soon, so check our website from time to time for new information.

The Somato Emotional Heart Dialogue course and the Basic Unwinding class offers an immediate impact on your therapy and people skills as well. These courses are a good preparation for the 2012 "Body meets Mind" training.

There are two children/infant courses. The next class 2011 will be a Cranio Sacral for children1 and it will focus on problems that can alter brain and spinal development disease, birth process, evaluation and treatment examples, supervised treatment and interaction with children. Cranio Sacral Children 2 will be offered in 2012. See the web site for more information.

The visceral training have gotten off to a great start in Herdecke and Grasellenbach. In 2011 we will offer the Visceral Manipulation Therapie 1 in spring and the Visceral Manipulation Therapie 2 in fall. The classes will have a limited size so register early. See web site for course description.

The cranial Advanced class has been redesigned and will focus on the cranium, fascia, TMG, the sacrum and examination techniques. Practice with supervision is the strong point of the course with new information always introduced and a new workbook. This is the perfect class for those preparing for the certification examinations. The next Advanced class will be focussing on Bodywork from the neck down, it will be offered in 2012.

The Bayern invasion, we feature two new course locations for next year in Bayern. Cranioclass 1 in Regensburg und in Tüssling (between München and Passau), both in April 2011. A Cranioclass 2 is scheduled for October in Regensburg. Check the schedule for details.

Okay, we have something for the Black Forest as well. We are back with the IAK, our longest organizer for over 20 years. We have a 2-day-Neuromuscular and a 2-day-Cranio class for kinesiologists at the end of August 2011. These classes are appropriate for everyone.

Monika is telling me that the letter is too long. So I must go. But thanks for your support and I will be thinking of you all from the beaches of sunny Florida (by the way: he doesn´t like beaches....)

Sincerely,

Monika and Richard
